As for doing what attracts women, each woman is an individual with her likes and dislikes. I learned many years ago that it is a real pain to have a woman attracted to me, but my feelings toward her are closer to aversion. I also went through (various times) the experience of initial attraction that didn't work out as we got to know each other better. Thus, I tried to find one where the attraction was mutual and healthy. Given that we just celebrated 42 years married, and are still happy, I guess I did something right. But one of our treasured memories is from when we had been married about six months and visited my family for Christmas. Shortly before we left, my mom commented, "It's a good thing you two married each other, so you didn't ruin two normal marriages."
When I was quite young, soccer was the liberal intellectual sport because it was European. When I moved to Europe and found out the fans were lowbrow savages, I got a laugh. It was Rugby in college; I had a friend who played.
Is this a stream of consciousness or did you map out this piece and fill in the detail? "idea is we goona riff on white dudes, sports/politics quadrant and finish with 23&Me"
Key point about recapturing the language (and, accordingly, the narrative) -- dispiriting that people still kowtow to the Trump Derangement Syndrome label when the obvious framing should be: Deranged Trump Syndrome.
Re pink-on-white crime, as Albert noted in 'The Birdcage': "Well, one does want a hint of color."
I dunno. Have you heard about the guy who swiped right on Tinder some 2 million times and got 1 date? The Internet blasted him for - among other things - posing with a fish in his profile. According to a few people I have talked to about this (I’m married and have never used Tinder) that is an actual turnoff to the modern female. At least in the younger generations. 😄
I think you should run that lacrosse bit by Tony on the next Macro Dirt pod haha!
This essay has some great riffing.

That line slays!
Nailed it, there is no formula to attract women. Married 37 years here.

Advice…if you really wanna see Phish see them at MSG. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but your odds of catching a mind blowing show go way up at MSG.

I don't think many down home girls are on Tinder but prolly FB. Tinder is a sexless in the city thing.
