My Dad grew up in the last house in town to have an indoor toilet. Both of his parents were deaf. He went off to war in WW2. before he could graduate from High School. When he came home someone told him Harvard was giving Ex GIs an admission test. He took the test and was granted admission. He went on to graduate Cum Laude and had a successful career as a writer and was able to provide a wonderful life for his family.

Top Schools matter less and less. In fact College degrees matter less and less.

Coding academies turn out higher paid people than a 'top' school now.

Too many useless degrees, too much relying on rich parent for tuition.

For poor kids, get a job, go to CC for two years. If you are STEM material, scholarships available.

The world is your if you step up and work for it.

How in the world would you even know Oconomowoc had a college? It must be new because it wasn't there when I grew up as a townie there.
