This is FANTASTIC! I'm 60 years old, and George Carlin is unmatched as a stand-up comic. His observations were not only hilarious, they were spot on dead accurate. The world, in general, takes itself way too seriously. Ridiculously delicate.
I hope you get a chance to do your skit sometime… it’s a lot harder than you think. In your travels, have you ever once looked to see if there was an Amateur Night while you were there? I have never met a bigger “doer” than you (a compliment)… I hope you get to experience that someday.
My mother used to give us the 3Q of saying anything - Was it nice? Was is kind? Was it necessary? Good mothering for children but my siblings (8 of them) we added - Is it funny? She never agreed but sibling credibility was waaaay more important that mom’s approval so that became the household rule.
Funny trumped all the other rules, if anyone laughed you got a pass regardless of how rude or vulgar it was and the more sarcasm the better. I still live by that to this day, if people are laughing there is no better response. Laughter = Job Done, your feelings are yours to get over
I have a friend who tells the most outrageous jokes, I just chuckle and shake my head...I'll defend his right to tell those jokes....is everything funny? That's relative...I personally don't think so, but I'll also defend your right to laugh.
Love this! So I alienated quite a few acquaintances and probably more than a few family members with this….might want to use it to get down to 7,700 subscribers. “What’s the definition of ecstasy? Fucking a pregnant woman and getting head from the fetus!” Also, check out the Zucker brother’s, “Kentucky Fried Movie.” 70’s classic!
I would argue that in some respects men can do a better job of witting about women than women because they are able to distance themselves from the subject. And vice versa. Same with gays and straight persons. One of the greatest lessons from my father was to not take myself so seriously. Yes, sometimes I get offended, but I refuse to be offensive about it.
Nailed this! The UK certainly has had it's fill of po faced social justice warriors being offended on behalf of people for whom they don't know or understand. Keir Starmer is their totem. He would react to a George Carlin joke like he was being asked to eat a shit sandwich.
Just a note: The right is still burning books. Well kind of. They are censoring schools, libraries, and book shops, and trying to pass laws to enforce it. The left is more sensitive about stupid jokes, but they are not actually calling for book bans. They are calling for boycotts that kind of tend to work - in some cases - a.k.a. cancel culture. I don't like both, but I definitely don't like what the right is doing more.
Yes, but. Cancel culture is alive and well and affecting comedy. Bill Maher has been outspoken on this. Diceman was not funny too much fuckie suckie that got in the way of comedy. He was not The Aristocrats. That is funny, I don’t care who ya are…

Well done!
Right. On. The. Money... Excellent work

Right on
Agree! Now go write those damn short stories! Might as well throw in your standup notes while you're at it.
Brilliant Jared. Everything is funny.

Man, it’s bleak if you’re going to freaking Jacksonville for cultural enrichment.
love to hear the porn standup bit
