On point, Jared-thank you....I'm glad you caught on to the recent anti-beauty campaign (i.e. Calvin Klein ads, etc). I do hope there is a backlash...we sorely need it.

Mr Dillian, everything you said resonated so much. I also am a fan of "uplifting trance/melodic house " and intry to make my writing at work worthy of garnering at least a smile. Wonderful piece, made my day.

Have you ever seen images of women before and after they become leftists? They can go from beautiful to ugly to a degree it doesn't seem like the same person. Walking around SE Portland, OR, a hotbed of leftists, the people are staggeringly and aggressively ugly. I was shocked. Even my friend who lives there wears things I would not wear in public because they make people ugly. I am no sharp dresser either, too ugly for me should not be worn. This pattern is the height of fashion there. https://sewhouse7.com/products/burnside-bibs

Couldn't agree more. It's interesting how subjective beauty can be, but the joy it brings is universal. I'm often captivated by the beauty of elegant code or a perfectly structured novel.

lol jamband music not beautiful? Not here to argue about taste, and there are absolutely elements of dissonance and prog rock that isn’t beautiful for sure, but to then whole hog remove the qualia of beauty from a whole genre? and just say we’re messed on on drugs…that’s mid twit shit right there. Don’t be mid sir. Nobody likes their yum yucked. To further demonstrate your ignorance is the claim we don’t listen in our cars. Jesus man…mid. Just mid. [shakes head and giggles at level of midness]

My former wife was a promotional model in NYC… she barely wore makeup and with me she rarely wore it and was always stunning!

As we age, I try to have my beauty come from within… kindness. She was kind… I’ve grown to be kind. Kindness brings out the beauty in everyone.
